Golden-toned horns stand out against the pale green-gray and brown surface of this devil face jug by Joel Patton. Narrowed eyes sit beneath sharply modeled brows, while a long nose and restrained toothy smile create an expression full of quiet mischief.

The jug’s rounded body rises to a defined neck with a glossy, mottled brown rim. Pale glaze washes across the face and shoulders, leaving areas of brown clay visible and trailing down the rear handle.
