Joel Patton 6." Devil of Inclemency #10 Face Jug DP6511

Joel Patton gives this devil face jug a memorable personality through pale eyes, raised brows, and an uneven toothy grin. Short brown horns crown the forehead, while prominent ears and a long sculpted nose add dimension to the face.

A pale green-gray glaze spreads irregularly over the brown clay surface, gathering around the features and flowing down the broad rear handle. Dark accents emphasize the eyes and mouth, sharpening the expression. Incised lettering (The devil of Inclemency #10) appears on the back of the vessel. With its animated face and varied glaze, this piece makes a distinctive addition to a collection of contemporary Southern folk pottery.

This piece is 6" tall, about 5" wide and has a 2.75" base.

Ships for $15 with tracking and insurance within the continental USA. Pottery does not ship outside the country.
