Joel Patton 5.5" Devil of the Next Opportunity #1 Face Jug DP6513

This rounded devil face jug by Joel Patton draws attention through bold contrasts and a composed expression. Pale horns and cream-colored eyes emerge from a mottled green-gray and brown surface, while dark, full lips anchor the face. Raised brows, rounded ears, and a projecting nose give the sculpted features depth.

Glaze flows across the forehead and down the broad rear handle, with darker patches creating variation around the cheeks and mouth. A short, flared neck balances the generous body, and incised lettering (The devil of the Next Opportunity #1) appears on the back. The result is a distinctive collectible for those drawn to the expressive possibilities of Southern face jug pottery.

This piece is 5.5" tall, about 5" wide and has a 3" base.
