Mister 8 8x10 French's Canvas WP6549

Mr. 8 celebrates another familiar American pantry staple with this colorful interpretation of a jar of French's Prepared Mustard. The bright yellow jar, with its recognizable red-and-blue label, is set against a lively green background above a black tabletop. Heavy outlines, spontaneous brushwork and hand-painted lettering give the composition the direct, unpolished charm associated with Southern self-taught art. A delightful addition to the artist's ongoing series of paintings inspired by everyday consumer products.

This piece measures 8" wide and 10" long. Acrylic on wrapped canvas with sides painted.0
