Mister 8 18x35 Duke's on Metal WP6251

Painted on a sheet of metal, this work by Mr. 8 features an oversized jar of Duke's Mayonnaise against a turquoise and brown background. The handwritten "Twang!" across the lower portion adds humor and a distinctly Southern voice to the composition. The combination of an iconic Greenville-born product and an unconventional metal support makes this an especially regional example of Mr. 8's Americana-inspired folk art. Duke's traces its beginnings to Greenville in 1917. 

This piece measures 18.5" wide and 35.5" long.
