This striking head-form vessel by Dwayne Craig departs from traditional face jug conventions, presenting an abstracted, almost otherworldly figure. The oversized, hollowed eyes and small, pursed mouth give the piece an unmistakably “alien” presence, while still grounded in the Southern pottery tradition. Finished in a rich, earth-toned glaze that pools and flashes across the surface, the form is both sculptural and atmospheric.
