Feliciano Abaurre's work is the result of multiple esthetic and functional influences, from South America to Japan, Africa and the US , British and Indian pottery, always playing with the connection of clay and farm, utilitary ware for fermentation and storage.

This piece features a tall, suggestion of a face. Its character comes from an intensely layered, bark-like texture—an all-over crusted surface that reads as weathered, volcanic, and earthen.The matte, brown finish enhances the piece’s raw, elemental presence, evoking aged clay, scorched earth, and naturally eroded stone. Subtle tonal variation and organic patching across the body add depth while emphasizing the work’s hand-formed construction and physicality. This demonstrates Abaurre’s ability to transform traditional jug forms into contemporary objects with weight, presence, and material intensity.

This piece is 20" tall.  It should be noted the "crust" chips easily so it definitely needs to be placed in a location that will not demand it be moved. And it's a huge reason why it will not ship.
