Stacy hand builds his figures, sometimes throwing part of the work on the wheel.  He does an electric kiln bisque firing before completing the detail painting and finishing with a final electric firing. All of Stacy’s work is carefully constructed and abundantly detailed. His clay figures share characteristics with his amazing pen and ink and colored pencil drawings.  Both clay and paper attest to Stacy Lambert’s imagination and creativity.

A literary-inspired narrative face jug by Stacy Lambert featuring imagery drawn from Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven. There's a portrait of Poe on the front, alongside the iconic raven and a wide-eyed figure rendered in Lambert’s distinctive folk-surreal style. Hand-painted illustrations wrap around the form, while the reverse features a passage from The Raven, transforming the piece into both a ceramic sculpture and storytelling object.

Candy cane-striped handles, expressive brushwork, and swirling red surface decoration frame the narrative imagery, creating a vibrant contrast to the darker themes of longing, mystery, and imagination. Combining Southern face jug traditions with literature, folk art, and contemporary ceramic sculpture, this one-of-a-kind work showcases Lambert’s unique ability to blend visual storytelling with functional pottery forms.
