Stacy Lambert 5" Worm Head DP6111

Stacy hand builds his figures, sometimes throwing part of the work on the wheel.  He does an electric kiln bisque firing before completing the detail painting and finishing with a final electric firing. All of Stacy’s work is carefully constructed and abundantly detailed. His clay figures share characteristics with his amazing pen and ink and colored pencil drawings.  Both clay and paper attest to Stacy Lambert’s imagination and creativity.

This unsettling and highly sculptural work features a porcelain-toned baby head encircled by coiling, tentacle-like forms rising from the base and wrap protectively—and ominously—around the figure. The glassy, wide-set eyes and softly rendered facial features contrast sharply with the darker, textured coils, creating a tension between innocence and distortion. A striking contemporary piece that leans into narrative and emotional ambiguity. While it does have a handle - we don't suggest using as an actual mug.
