Marvin Bailey 11" Multi Glaze Happy Face Vase DP6540

A riot of color and personality, this extraordinary face vase by South Carolina folk potter Marvin Bailey features an exaggerated face with bulging turquoise eyes, a prominent nose, oversized ears, and a wide, toothy grin. Brilliant streams of red, pink, yellow, green, and blue glaze cascade down the tall vessel, creating a lively, almost psychedelic surface.

The flared, irregular rim and two graceful loop handles add to the sculptural appeal, while the open top allows the piece to function as a decorative vase. Combining traditional Southern face jug imagery with an exuberant contemporary color palette, this is a particularly playful example of Bailey's imaginative folk pottery.

Measures 11" tall, about 7.5" wide and with a 5" base and a 4.5" top opening.
