Carolyn Simmons 6.75" Woman and Animals Story Vase DP6563

This story vase by Georgia folk potter Carolyn Simmons features a lively procession of applied figures traveling around a softly glazed blue surface. A running woman with flowing dark hair appears alongside two animated, doglike animals, each modeled in relief and outlined with incised black details. Textured borders frame the rim and base, giving the vessel a finished architectural quality. The unfolding scene reflects Simmons’s fondness for narrative imagery, expressive characters, and playful movement.

6.75" Tall, 3.25" top opening and 3.25" bottom.
