Breezy 8" Cross Road Blues DP6117
This narrative face jug by Dale "Breezy" Ellis channels the mythology of American blues culture, anchored by the hand-lettered phrase “Crossroad Blues” across the vessel’s surface. The sculpted face reinforces the gritty, lived-in character that defines the piece.
On the reverse, a raised guitar neck runs vertically along the body, paired with bold graphic elements including crossed forms and a red directional arrow marked “27,” referencing the cultural lore surrounding the crossroads legend. The palette shifts between warm clay tones, deep blacks, and selective color accents, creating a visual rhythm that mirrors the emotional weight of the subject.
Ellis uses the jug as a storytelling object—the result is a highly expressive, culturally resonant piece that stands out for both its symbolism and its strong sculptural presence.
This jug is 8" tall, with a 5.25" diameter base.
Ships for $20 with tracking and insurance. Does not ship outside the continental USA.
