This one-of-a-kind story jug by Georgia folk potter Dale "Breezy" Ellis is inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's classic poem, "The Raven". The stoneware vessel is covered with hand-carved passages from the poem, wrapping the surface with words that draw the viewer into Poe's dark and mysterious narrative. A sculpted raven skull emerges from the front of the jug, creating a dramatic focal point and reinforcing the literary theme.
