This whimsical donkey jug by Gillsville, Georgia potter Billy Joe Craven brings an unmistakable folk-art personality to the traditional Southern jug form. The donkey's long upright ears, elongated muzzle, wide eyes, and applied mane create an animated expression, while the vessel's opening and handle remain visible behind the sculpted head.

Finished primarily in a soft gray-white glaze with darker accents highlighting the ears, mane, eyes, and facial features, the jug has a wonderfully handmade character.
