Billy Joe Craven 8" Cigar Chomping Face Jug DP6368

This handcrafted face jug by Gillsville, Georgia potter Billy Joe Craven captures the playful spirit of Southern folk pottery with an expressive grin and a sculpted cigar held firmly between its lips. Exaggerated ears, a long rounded nose, heavy textured eyebrows, and oversized glass eyes give the character a lively personality, while the soft gray glaze accented with darker highlights emphasizes the hand-built craftsmanship.

Drawing inspiration from the rich face jug tradition of Northeast Georgia, Craven blends classic pottery forms with humor and individuality. The result is a collectible work of Southern folk art that is equally at home in a serious pottery collection or as a standout decorative piece.

This piece is 8" tall, about 7" wide and has a 4.5" base.

Ships for $20. Because of the high shipping cost, pottery does not ship outside the continental USA.
