Richard E Roebuck 13x14 Man with Apples and Basket on Wood WP6514

A seated man studies a bright red apple, a pipe resting between his lips and baskets of fruit gathered beside him. His white shirt and black vest stand out against the softly mottled brown background, while the woven baskets add pattern and texture. Richard Roebuck gives this quiet scene character through the man’s attentive expression and carefully posed hand. An appealing example of his narrative folk painting, the work finds its story in an everyday moment.

This acrylic painting is on 13" x 14.75" thin wood.
