A brown handled jug takes on a larger-than-life personality with expressive eyes, arched brows and an enormous toothy grin. Set against a vivid turquoise background and punctuated by a strong black shadow, the painting offers Mr. 8's playful interpretation of the Southern face-jug tradition.
