Kip’s been painting and drawing ever since he was able to hold a pencil and brush in his hands. Raised in the north east Georgia mountains, the history, folklore and inhabitants of those mountains fascinated him and drove him to create his version of what he saw. He is an established self-taught artistand an influential leader among his peers.

These 6" x 6" gallery-wrapped paintings capture the color and character of the Southern landscape on an intimate scale. Rolling mountains, winding streams, cultivated fields, dense forests, birds, and flowering vines are rendered with bold outlines, layered patterns, and lively color. Each small canvas presents a distinct view while sharing Ramey’s playful, recognizable folk-art style. Gallery-wrapped edges allow the paintings to be displayed with or without framing.
