Handcrafted by Burnsville, North Carolina artist John D. Richards, this whimsical bottle cap bird showcases the artist's signature approach to assemblage sculpture. Constructed from an assortment of recycled bottle caps, found materials, and salvaged metal components, the bird features a long pointed beak, expressive eyes, and a richly textured surface created by overlapping caps from a variety of beverage brands. Mounted on a wooden base, the sculpture reflects Richards' lifelong fascination with transforming everyday discarded objects into imaginative works of art. A playful and highly collectible example of contemporary Southern folk art and recycled-object sculpture.

This piece is 11.25" tall, 20" from beak to tail on a 4" x 7" x 1" wood base. Bottle caps are arranged over a wood foundation.
