Carolyn Simmons 8.5" Green Cat Playing Guitar DP6562 SOLD

Georgia folk potter Carolyn Simmons gives this lively ceramic cat the swagger of a rock-and-roll guitarist. The upright green figure holds a boldly painted red electric guitar and sports a tall purple crest, spiraling wire whiskers, bulging eyes, and a toothy grin with its tongue extended. Striped paws, a white chest, and a curled tail complete the sculpture’s animated form. Simmons’s expressive modeling and colorful glaze work turn the musical cat into an exuberant piece of contemporary Southern folk pottery.

8.5" Tall, about 5" wide.
