Potter Zane Kuhle began creating stoneware pottery in 1988 on the back porch of his Florida home. As a self taught potter, he was greatly influenced by the folk art styles colors of pottery from the Carolinas. He took an 8 year hiatus from potting to raise his children, and is now emerging as a new and rejuvenated potter in the area. He is best known for his Zaney Face line of pottery which is a whimsical take on the âUgly Face Jugsâ that emerged in the 1800âs.
