Linda Wright, is the owner and founder of My Mothers Buttons. Her career started as a foreign & domestic buyer for Nordstrom. She founded My Mothers Buttons in 1992 when she inherited her mother’s care worn sewing box. Some of her fondest memories as a child were the hours her mother and she spent playing in the family button box.
The buttons were so sentimental she decided to make a few pieces of jewelry for her mother’s friends as keepsakes. She happened upon an antique button show and fell in love with the beautiful buttons from the opulent Victorian era; a time when buttons were worn for lavish, ornate detail rather than for function.
Since then Linda has been making one of a kind jewelry using authentic Victorian buttons and other wonderful French finds, circa 1840-1900 found mostly at Paris flea markets.
