Along with a small, but growing number of potters who have been influenced by Burlon and the Catawba Valley tradition, I manipulate local clay bodies, woodfire in a groundhog kiln, and predominantly use a homemade alkaline glaze. I typically make traditional, functional forms such as jugs, jars, pitchers, mugs, and vases, including various face jugs/forms.  After moving to the Spartanburg area, I’ve learned more of both the traditional and contemporary potters of SC and the N Georgia region. The mugs average 4" tall with a 3.75" base and 3.5" top opening. Ships within continental USA for $9, double boxed with tracking and insurance so you know it's coming and we know it got there. Due to the high cost of shipping, pottery does not ship outside the continental USA.
