Debby Freed lives in Montgomery County, VA with her dog, cat, and chickens - and her neighbors' donkeys. She does her clay work from her basement studio, which looks out at the donkey pasture and chicken run. Debby’s pieces are all hand built, using slab, pinch pot, coil, and other hand building techniques. She is a juried member of Round the Mountain, the Blue Ridge Potters Guild, and takes part in the annual Blue Ridge Potters Guild Show
In addition to clay work, she plays banjo with some of the many wonderful southwest Virginia old-time musicians.
