Every item is made one at a time by Craig Carey. His daughter Madeline makes the bowls. There are no pre-bought patterns or items, save the hardwear and mirror, and all ideas are their own. Craig starts with raw materials, such as discarded Christmas trees for lamps and chandeliers, willow from the edges of ponds for mirrors and signs, and lumber from anywhere that he can find it, and then carves or cuts everything by hand. Then all items are sanded, primed and painted or stained. The stained items then get multiple coats of laquer for a deep shine.
If the work looks familiar, you may have seen it in Neiman-Marcus, Better Homes and Gardens, House Beautiful, Metropolitan Home, etc.
