Momo Kunsthaus Drops JE2009

After the glass is cut into the desired shape, enamels are painted onto the glass surface. Enamels are blends of metal oxides, and we make some of them ourselves in order to fine-tune texture, opacity and hue. After the enamel dries, each Momo Glassworks piece is painstakingly detailed with inclusions such as copper, mica, and aluminum. A second round of enamels is applied. The pieces are then fired, sometimes multiple times.

From the Constructs collection, Kunsthaus drops, utilizing recycled glass. Constructs is a collection of mixed media designs emphasizing sculptures, structures, and other things. Sterling silver hooks. Measure just over 1" long from the center of the ear wire curve. Glass is just over 10/16" long and 6/16" wide.

Photography note: I just got a new fancy dancy camera, and am still learning its quirks. Especially the defocus function. So, some of the photos will show the forefront nice and crisp while the background is out of focus. I'm not trying to be artsy. Probably the best photo of the earrings is the one "Real Close" one. Still trying to get the hang of getting a front headshot, with the earring in focus.
