We are so very pleased to have the opportunity to show the work of Mari Newman. These pieces give a nice representation of her work.
One thing I feel compelled to point out, which really can't be appreciated on the screen, is Mari's unique technique she developed when using crayon. When you first look at the work, you will swear it is created with pastels. In fact, even with that knowledge, your eyes will still try to tell you that you are looking at pastel. Really, come in and see.
"Banana Boat" has been shrinkwrapped on black foam board, measuring 18" x 20" and is created with crayon on paper. Please bear in mind, I took the photos "through" the shrink wrap, so the colors may appear muted.
