Born 1974 in Cairo, Youssef began working for local newspapers at an early age. His work has appeared in Le Progres Egyptien, The Egyptian Gazette, Live Colors, Al Ahram Hebdo, Le Revue d’Egypt, Al-Ahram Weekly in Egypt, as well as in publications in France, Romania, and the United States.
Youssef’s work has been shown in Egypt, Korea, France, Cyprus, and Taiwan. His latest exhibition was at the Cairo Opera House in January 2005. He is currently vice president of the Federation of Cartoonists Organizations.
