Craig Carey

Careys

Craig Carey, born 1/1/47, is a self taught woodworker who creates fancifully painted neo-folk objects such as chests, tables, benches, lamps, boxes, and mirrors (spawned by late night TV. and bad food) which are useful as well as decorative. He has been happily creating his art work for over 35 years.

Along with his daughter, Madeline, they truck out into the marshes to gather willow for mirrors, collect discarded Christmas trees for lamps and chandeliers and pick alleys for scrap lumber: all to put a smile on customers faces. Nothing is bought; everything is handmade.

Craig's work has been seen in Neiman-Marcus, Better Homes and Gardens, House Beautiful, Metropolitan Home, etc
